These are publications featuring original student research. Each year, students in Letterpress Studio, Papermaking Studio, Artists' Books and other Advanced classes write a short piece highlighting a particular artist, printshop, technique, or a book from Hayden Library Rare Books & Collections. Each student designs two spreads illustrating their findings, which are then compiled into a PDF available to download here.

Previously, student research was uploaded onto our blog, but during the pandemic in 2020 we created the first printed publication, self-published on Blurb. As of 2023, the work is now juried each year by a different external artist or scholar, with the best of student research from both spring and fall semesters combined into one publication.
