Material with Meaning

PROMPT
Create an edition of paper utilizing pulp material that has some kind of significance to the meaning of your project. Perhaps you make paper with a specific plant fiber that relates directly to your concept. Or perhaps the paper is made from fabric from some garment that means something in your piece. Maybe instead of the pulp being the vehicle with meaning, you use inclusions that are visible and meaningful. The material can be found paper as well. The sky is the limit! We will determine the size of mould to use, and you will make enough sheets for each student in the class and the instructor.

PROJECT GUIDELINES
  • Edition size: at least 15
  • Paper: Your choice
  • Paper size: We will choose a mould to use so everyone's paper will be the same size, but probably a smaller one around 9"x 12"
  • Printing, mark-making and/or embellishments: Your choice
